***LOST AND FOUND***
These crisp mornings and warm afternoons are filling up our lost and found. Please, stop by the Lower School to reclaim anything your student may have lost and may want found.
Celebrating Michaelmas: The Festival Feast!
A defining aspect of our Michaelmas celebration for grades 1-12 is a community feast that follows the class performances and a brief work period for students. This feast features apples, veggies, and dragon bread with honey butter!
This year, the third and fourth grade families will be taking up the charge to supply food for the feast, but we still need additional donations from the community!
If you'd like to donate an item for the feast, please sign up here!
Making dragon bread can be a fun family activity — and an amazing contribution to the feast! Online resources abound, but you can also access a recipe and instructions here.
All are welcome to join the Michaelmas Celebration for the Grades (1-12) on Friday, September 29th. Class sharings — including the Michaelmas Play — begin at 1:15, and the feast begins at 2:30. See all the event details here.
Order Your Michaelmas T-shirts Today!
We are excited to be working with a new, local spiritwear vendor and have some exciting options to share! Michaelmas shirts are available for order until midnight on September 22nd for pick-up at the school starting September 27th! We also have an amazing new volleyball design created by CWS parent Kelly Larbes, so check that out as well. You can access our online store here.
Join us for Fall Frolic October 7th!
The Festivals Committee and the Parent Association warmly invite you to join us for a celebration of fall on Saturday, October 7th from 1-3pm in the Lower School bowl (grassy area next to the school).
Enjoy light bites and sweet treats, hair braiding and face painting courtesy of our Cincinnati Waldorf High School students, cider pressing, and socializing. This was a beautiful, nourishing community event last year and we look forward to seeing you at this year's event. Fall Frolic is weather-permitting and will not be held in case of inclement weather.
Hayrides and Pumpkin Patch Outing at Irons Fruit Farm
Join CWS families at Irons Farm from 3-5pm on Sunday, October 15th to enjoy a hayride, pumpkin patch, corn maze, and farm stand treats! Like apple picking, this is an unstructured event. So, arrive when you're able and keep an eye out for your CWS friends!
Hayrides run every 15 minutes from 11am-5pm and are FREE. You just pay for pumpkins by the pound. For more information about October Weekends at Irons Farm, click here.
Salsa On The Square!
Families of 5th - 10th graders,

Mazunte will be serving up tacos, tostados, and guacamole to hungry dancers on-site. Fountain Square concessions will offer full bar service. Fountain Square is located at 520 Vine Street in downtown Cincinnati. Safe and secure parking is available at Fountain Square’s underground garage facility.
Calling All Green Thumbs to Join our CWS Garden Team!
As many of you know, we have a lovely garden space at Ann Becker Park near school. This garden is largely used by our 3rd grade as part of their curriculum, but the garden is large and has lots of untapped potential.
Join other gardeners to work in the garden space - and on other plant projects around the school!
Mondays from 8:00-9:00am
starting October 2nd!
Meet at the garden in Ann Becker Park, and help our garden grow!

Join the PA on 10/2 to Kick Off Preparations for Holiday Faire!
Holiday Faire is one of the most magical and best loved traditions at CWS — and the Parent Association is excited to bring back this event for the enjoyment of our entire Cincinnati Waldorf community! This event has traditionally included food, music, crafts for the children, a Vendor Village, and unique story-led “faire” games like the treasure gnome.
To make this event a success requires the love and commitment of many volunteers, so please consider being part of the planning and preparations. This is a golden opportunity to engage in fun, meaningful work and to get to know and spend time with other parents and meet new people. The Holiday Faire Planning Committee will meet Monday, October 2nd at 2pm in the CWS Community Room. We hope to see you there! You can also sign up to volunteer here.
