**Please Read: Field Day Is Next Week!
Field Day takes place on the very last day of school. This year it will be on Wednesday, May 29th. It starts soon after normal arrival and finishes in time for dismissal at noon. It takes place on the CWS campus.
Students are divided into two divisions: Upper Grades and Lower Grades. Students from Grades 1 through 3 are mixed into six teams. Students in Grades 4 through 8 are mixed into ten teams. Each team is given a color. All the members of that team must wear a shirt of that color to school on Field Day – the school does not provide shirts. The team colors will be given out this week.
Be sure to pack a snack, water bottle and sunscreen for your child!!!!
Parents are welcome to come and watch the games. For the Upper Grades, games include Viking Ship, Bucketball, 9 Square, GaGa and Newcombe. For the Lower Grades, the activities include Parachute, Bunny Attack, Rochambeau Tag, Drip Drip Drop and Dress-up relays. The games finish up by 11:45. The students gather by grades in the dismissal area and say their goodbyes. Dismissal starts at 12:00.
CWS has reserved courts at 50 West starting at 12:30 so that the faculty can play volleyball against the 8th graders. All are welcome to come and join us. There are food and drinks for purchase and opportunities to play sand volleyball. The address for 50 West is 7605 Wooster Pike, Cincinnati, OH 45227.

Summer Music Camp Opportunity
Camp Encore/Coda, is an inspiring musical community unlike any other summer program in the country. Their non-competitive program, world-class faculty and range of camper interests creates a supportive, growth-oriented community. In just 3-weeks, your camper will develop new musical skills, make new friends and enjoy a screen-free summer in Maine!
Ages range from rising 4th grade to rising 12th grade. There are multiple week options ranging from 2 to 6.5 weeks. Local music teacher/flautist Annie Darlin Gordon has worked at this camp for 5 summers (and also attended for 3 summers as a teenager!) and cannot recommend it enough. She is also offering a “Cincinnati community” discount code that she is happy to share with interested Waldorf families.
