Weekly Highlights
A HUGE thank you to The Montvales for stopping in to play for our Fourth Graders and for staying to watch them rehearse their play, "The Death of Balder," which they will perform next week!
Reminder:
Student's are not allowed umbrellas at recess. Your student may bring an umbrella to school for arrival and dismissal but they will be asked to leave them in their classroom during recess.

If you haven't filed your 2024 taxes, you can still make a gift to the CWS Scholarship Fund at absolutely no cost to you!!
Depending on the amount of Ohio tax you owe for 2024, you can give up to $750 as an individual or $1,500 for married couples filing jointly and receive either a CREDIT or a REFUND on your 2024 taxes! This applies to anyone making over $26,000/year!
This is a HUGE opportunity for our school, and one we hope you will consider as you work on your taxes this year!

CWS is excited to offer a Parents Night Out on Saturday, March 8th from 5:30-8pm at the Cincinnati Waldorf School.
Students will enjoy free play and activities with friends under the supervision of CWS faculty members while you get some time to yourself! Feel free to go out to dinner, get some fresh air, or enjoy some self-care, knowing your children are safe and well-cared for at school.
Due to current staffing, this event is limited to the first 48 children signed up. But before you RSVP, please note the following details:
This event is only open to currently enrolled students (Preschool-Grade 12).
Parents must RSVP and fill out a waiver in advance off dropping of their child/ren.
Parents must also sign their child/ren in and out and provide a cell phone number where they can be reached in case of an emergency.
Parents are asked to pack food for their child/ren’s dinner.
Parents are strongly encouraged but not required to tip staff (cash is easiest).

New Game Club for Grades 5-8 Every Wednesday
Track & Field Opportunities with St. Gertrude School
For the last several years, our school has been invited to participate with St Gertrude School on a combined Track and Field Team. They do everything from sprints to long runs, discuss and shot put. The practices are usually at Moeller High School. There are 3 or 4 meets during the season, but they are completely optional.
My daughter competed on the team for a couple years and enjoyed it. We participated in 2 meets.
Students from Kindergarten through 8th grade are invited to participate. It is a great opportunity to give your child a feel for Track and Field.

Open Gym Basketball at CWS
This is an invitation to Open Gym basketball at CWS on Wednesdays from 7:00 to 8:30pm.
All faculty, alumni, parents, and students from 6th grade to 12th grade are invited to play. You may come when you want and leave when you want. We will create teams as people come and go, and the teams will be a mix of students and adults. This is a friendly environment with some in-game coaching. Students younger than 6th grade are not allowed to play.

We are so excited to welcome our Grandfriends to CWS and show them some love on Friday, Feb. 14th! The schedule will be as follows:

Grandfriends visiting children in Preschool and Kindergarten who have siblings in grades 1-8 are welcome to grab lunch together off campus and return in time for the 1:45pm grades presentation. (Suggestions for nearby restaurants include Madison Place, National Exemplar, Dilly Deli, Frisch's, Chipotle, Mac's Pizza, etc.).
If students will be leaving with Grandfriends, we ask Grandfriends to check in with the teacher and sign out their student/s before leaving.
Cincinnati Waldorf School PA Fundraiser
The Parent Association at the Cincinnati Waldorf School is dedicated to building our community of parents and supporting our faculty. All funds raised will go directly back to Cincinnati Waldorf School by supporting initiatives such as Holiday Faire, Faculty Appreciation Week, parent education nights, and community-wide social events.

We do easy, high-spirited dances from Europe and America in an open, family-friendly environment. All ages, genders, and orientations warmly welcome, and no experience necessary! Live music will be provided by The Sweet Corn String Band, and Hazel Jodock will teach and prompt the dances. For everyone's maximum enjoyment, we ask that all children under 13 be accompanied by an adult. Suggested donation: $10 for adults, $5 for children. Your support is greatly appreciated!
