Attention Parents: AWSNA Climate and Equity Survey
For the past few years, the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA) has asked accredited Waldorf Schools to participate in a Climate and Equity Survey. The Fall 2023 Climate and Equity Survey links are now open and available for you as a Waldorf parent to participate. The results from the survey will be compiled and reported back to AWSNA and to participating schools once all surveys have been completed.
Please click the link below in order to participate. The deadline to participate in the Fall 2023 Climate and Equity Survey is Monday, October 9th. Thank you for your participation!!!
Access your survey by clicking here!
Sign Up for School Picture Retakes
You should have received a link to your child's school photo via email. If you'd like to sign up for a retake — or if your student was absent on picture day — the photographer will be back at school on October 12th.
Sign up here for retakes!
School Pictures Ordering Reminder
Please place school picture orders by tonight Friday, October 6th. Orders received after the 6th will incur a late fee. Photos may be viewed and ordered here. Students participating in picture retake day on the 12th will have an extended ordering deadline.
For questions about orders and/or retakes, please e-mail Alison Fopeano at alison@alisonfopeano.com
Looking For All Available Drivers!
The high school needs parent drivers! In order to drive students other than your own, CWS does require that a background check be completed and passed every two years. It's a simple process and the school pays for it, so win-win!
Please, click HERE to sign up and get more information.
Join us for Fall Frolic October 7th!
The Festivals Committee and the Parent Association warmly invite you to join us for a celebration of fall on Saturday, October 7th from 1-3pm in the Lower School bowl (grassy area next to the school).
Enjoy light bites and sweet treats, hair braiding and face painting courtesy of our Cincinnati Waldorf High School students, cider pressing, and socializing. This was a beautiful, nourishing community event last year and we look forward to seeing you at this year's event. Fall Frolic is weather-permitting and will not be held in case of inclement weather.
Calling All Green Thumbs to Join our CWS Garden Team!
As many of you know, we have a lovely garden space at Ann Becker Park near school. This garden is largely used by our 3rd grade as part of their curriculum, but the garden is large and has lots of untapped potential. Join other gardeners to work in the garden space - and on other plant projects around the school!
Mondays from 8:00-9:00am
Meet at the garden in Ann Becker Park, and help our garden grow!
Don't Miss Waldorf 101 Parent Ed Event October 11th!
Enjoy a panel discussion about Waldorf education from early childhood to high school featuring CWS Faculty Chair Connie Davis, Woodland Preschool Teacher Carmy Malora, and High School Humanities Teacher Kirsten Roberts. Come learn what makes Waldorf education unique and how it benefits students.
CWS parents are strongly encouraged to attend this informative discussion -- and bring your questions for our master teachers!
