CWS Nature Camps in Indian Hill

Summer Camps for Toddler, Pre-School, Kindergarten and First Grade aged children at the Cincinnati Waldorf School’s Indian Hill campus

The Cincinnati Waldorf School is offering a series of Nature Camps for Toddlers, Pre-Schoolers, Kindergartners & First Graders.  Our Waldorf teachers will incorporate the streams, meadows and woodlands of Meshewa, our beautiful Indian Hill campus (map and directions), as well as neighboring Turner Farm, with activities that will engage your child’s mind, body and spirit.Come Enjoy the Summer at Meshewa!

• NatureTots – Parent & child, ages 18 months to 3 years
  Dates – Mondays, July 5, 12, 19, 26 & August 9th.  9:00 – 11:00
  Cost - $125
  
  Join Ms. Kyle and continue the rhythm of NatureTots and Parents & Tots through the summer.  With an emphasis on outdoor activities, you and your child will engage in circle time, nature walks, puppet plays under the Storie Tree, sand and garden work, climbing, and maybe a little sprinkler time.  All materials and snacks are included.  Maximum enrollment is 11.
  
  

• Summer Garden – Parent & child, ages 1 -3 years
  Dates - Mondays,    July 5, 12, 19, 26 & August 9th.  1:00 – 2:45
  Cost - $95
  
  Learn beginning handwork skills by making toys for your child.  Ms. Kyle will teach you how to wet felt a ball, knit a chicken (beginning knitters) or lamb (some knitting experience needed), and sew a dress-up crown.  In this class, children play with natural toys in the classroom alongside their parents, who are quietly engaged in purposeful work.  We will then enjoy some outdoor play and finish our time together with a snack and singing goodbye.  All materials and snacks are included. Maximum enrollment is 11.
  
  

• Nature Nursery – Child only, ages 3 – 4 (potty trained)
  Dates - July 6, 7, 8.  9:00 – 12:00
  Cost - $105
  
  Join Ms. Carmy (CWS Nursery teacher) and  Ms. Kyle (NatureTots and Parents & Tots teacher) for a summer camp filled with fun and exploration in the outdoors.  Activities will include water play, nature walks, crafts, gardening, and stories.  We’ll also have visits with farm animals from our neighbor, Turner Farm.  All materials and snacks are included.  Maximum enrollment is 12.
  
  

• Forest & Farm – Child only, ages 6 – 8 years
  Dates - June 14 – 18, 9:00 – 1:00, or June 21 – 25.  9:00-1:00
  Cost - $150 per week
  
  Join Bill Cordray (current CWS 8th Grade teacher former Waldorf kindergarten teacher) and Cathy Driscoll (CWS Kindergarten teacher) for a week of play, work and exploration.  The day will include feeding the farm animals at Turner Farm and circle work, music, gardening,  nature-based artistic activities, nature walks and free play at Meshewa. You supply lunch and a snack, we supply everything else.  Your child will enjoy a wonderful week of summer fun and learning in a beautiful setting under the guidance of experienced Waldorf teachers. Maximum enrollment is 20.
